Okay I had every intention of posting this yesterday and then I did other stuff instead. Lately, I feel like I want to branch out and listen to new music and then just end up listening to the same songs over and over and over again…but if they make me happy, shouldn’t that be all that matters? I think so, and I will never apologize for how much I listen to Taylor Swift (who is, of course, on today’s list). Some of these songs remind me of my WIP’s, some of life, but all I love right now. Let’s go!
Till Forever Falls Apart: Ashe, FINNEAS
I love everything about this song. I love that it feels simple but is also sweeping? I love their voices together? If my fantasy WIP ever gets turned into a movie (ahem, and also gets written and published lol) this song will be in it at the moment everyone might die. It’s called manifestation ya’ll. This song makes me believe in love and friendship and power.
Darling: Halsey
This song just makes me happy. It is calming and soothing, yet vulnerable. I told my sister that she needs to add it to my baby niece’s sleep playlist! Also, while generally I don’t think I can sing, I actually think my voice sounds nice when I sing along to this one lol.
Mine: Kelly Clarkson
Oh Kelly, you wonderful vocal goddess. While I know she has never “left,” I feel like she’s “back” with this new song and album. This song is 100% dedicated to all of the men who have broken my heart. I’m petty and I don’t care. 🙂 This song also fits my FMC in my contemporary romance WIP (which is 100% still an idea and like, one paragraph).
Hits Different: Taylor Swift
This has me in my feels but thankfully, it’s fairly upbeat so it doesn’t put me in a depressive state. I’m definitely a Midnights album fangirl, and I love that she keeps giving us new music for it.

If You Go Down (I’m Going Down Too): Kelsea Ballerini
This song is just straight up fun and reminds me of my closest girlfriends. When I think about friendships in the books I want to write, this is the level of loyalty and badassery I want for my characters. Also, I think this will be a great summer sunbathing song.
