Okay, maybe this will be obvious based on what I spend my time writing about on this blog but…people who write things have my complete admiration. Books are such an integral part of my life and the fact that the stories I read were created by people? It’s actually magic. I get to spend time teaching books, talking about books, and escaping into books because people have put their time, love, energy, emotions–their everything, really–into writing them. I love it when I read a really great line or passage and I pause and think, “Damn, someone wrote this.”
As a writer myself, and one who has not yet managed to finish writing a book, I completely admire those who actually sit and finish even one draft, let alone a finished draft. They not only have my admiration; they are my inspiration. I can only hope that in the next year, I can finish something!
