Happy New Year Reader Friends! We made it to 2025 and I’m thankful for all of the books that got me through 2024. I was going to do a “Favorites of 2024” wrap-up but honestly? I don’t have the energy. Maybe that’ll change, but for now, I really just want to talk about the books coming out soon that I’m excited about.
There are SO MANY amazing books coming out this year, so I will do a few of these posts throughout the year. Today’s will focus on releases between January and April 2025. There undoubtedly going to be some releases that I want to read that I miss here, but such is life.
January 2025

The Starlight Heir by Amalie Howard–1/7
I love Amalie Howard’s historical romances, and when I heard she was releasing a fantasy novel OH BOY did I squeal. This cover is stunning and I have no doubt that I’m going to love it.

Beg, Borrow, or Steal by Sarah Adams–1/7
This is the third book in Adams’s “When in Rome” series and personally, I think the series gets better with each book. Here is another amazing cover, and I can’t wait to be immersed in Rome, Kentucky again! Adams writes the sweetest romances and as a teacher myself, I’m looking forward to reading a romance between teachers!

Temple of Swoon by Jo Segura–1/7
Segura’s Raiders of the Lost Heart was one of my favorite books of 2023 and I was lucky enough to receive an arc of Temple of Swoon! I’m not far into it yet, but I’m already charmed. I want to read archaeological adventure romances forever!
February 2025

Deep End by Ali Hazelwood–2/4
Thanks to Ali for putting out a new book just in time for my birthday! I actually haven’t read the synopsis for Deep End, or Whet as Hazelwood originally wanted to call it, but I love her books and she’s an auto-buy author for me. Just look at that cover…it’s going to be SPICY.

First-Time Caller by B.K. Borison–2/11
I haven’t yet read any of Borison’s books, but this one sounds right up my ally. I love the idea of a radio show romance and this cover? Chef’s kiss. I have a strong feeling this will be a 2025 favorite.
March 2025

Oathbound by Tracy Deonn–3/4
AHHHHHHHHHHH. I’ll say it again: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I am SO excited for this book and we have waited so long! Deonn is magic and I lowkey might reread Legendborn and Bloodmarked before this one is out. I love love LOVE these books, if that wasn’t obvious. This is a can’t miss!

Fan Service by Rosie Danan–3/11
I haven’t read many of Danan’s books (I really should get to her backlist) but I read and loved Do Your Worst and love this cover…so I feel like I’m going to be super into this book. Plus, the premise is awesome! This is a paranormal romance where the MMC is an actor who is shocked to discover he might be a werewolf…and has to ask a former fan who hates his guts for help.

A Witch’s Guide to Love and Poison by Aamna Qureshi–3/27
This one just recently came under my radar and it looks adorable! The cover is stunning. It’s described as a cozy YA fantasy with potions, poisons, and love. I can’t wait!
April 2025

The Gods Time Forgot by Kelsie Sheridan Gonzalez–4/8
I’m so grateful to have received an advanced copy of this book from Netgalley and Alcove Press! I can’t wait to dive into this romantasy that combines Irish mythology and Gilded Age New York. Ya’ll know I love mythology, and I’ve been hearing so much about this one!

Wild and Wrangled by Lyla Sage–4/15
Okay so I’ve only read Done and Dusted (the first book in Sage’s Rebel Blue Ranch series) but I’m so obsessed with it that I’m already obsessed with this one. Wild and Wrangled is the fourth book and THIS COVER. Honestly…ALL OF HER COVERS. I have books two and three already and my plan is to read them before April so I’m ready for this!
That’s it for now! Also, these are by no means the only excellent books coming out between January and April of this year…I just think 10 is a good number. Any on this list that you’re excited about? Or are there any books that you’re excited about that should be on my radar? Let me know!
