Happy Sunday Reader Friends!
Today I’m sharing a cookbook review from someone I’m a huge fan of: Antoni Porowski, from Queer Eye fame, but also a restaurateur, author, and Corgi-lover. I tried one of the recipes last night and my boyfriend and I were BIG fans. I’m a huge fan of Queer Eye and when I saw that Antoni’s newest cookbook was available on NetGalley, I requested it immediately!
I’m not a fan of cooking. The best statement to start a cookbook review with, right? I want to love to cook, but often I’m cooking for one, exhausted, and apathetic towards the whole venture. When I do pull out a cookbook, I look for a few things:
- how long recipes take
- complexity
- easy availability of ingredients
- interest in recipes…as in, would I actually eat it?
Let’s Do Dinner fits all of these requirements. Most of the recipes are relatively simple to follow and seem delicious. Antoni offers substitutions in his notes in the event that an ingredient can’t be found, which I found super helpful. It is laid out in a clear manner and the photos are stunning. Antoni’s personality is infused in every line and he is just adorable. I will say, there are several recipes that I wouldn’t try, but that isn’t the fault of the author–I’m not a fan of most seafood and don’t really eat pork.
Yesterday, I tried out the “Sheet Pan Chicken with Rosemary and Grapes” recipe…and it was delicious! Process photos below.
I will definitely be trying more recipes and purchasing the physical copy of this cookbook!
Have a lovely day!
